Algorithmic Thinking for Migrants Teachers Education
Algorithmic Thinking for Migrants Teachers Education (AT4MI), number ID 2021-1-EL01-KA210-ADU-000035033, has as its objective the creation and development of modern and digital training material, dedicated to trainers on the topic of Algorithmic Thinking. Specifically, 4 Lessons have been created for "permanent" learning and four (4) for distance learning (in e-learning mode). The lessons produced are aimed at social and vulnerable groups, such as immigrants and refugees. The goal is to educate and train specific groups in modern digital skills, such as algorithmic thinking.
Target Group:
Trainers, training centers, NGOs and immigrants. Since the aim of the research is the perfect and quality development of teaching materials, the above research concerns trainers/teachers and Training Centers and Training Facilities.
Partners:
- Education In Progress - Italy.
Final Results:
- One Handbook for migrant trainers on Algorithmic Thinking;
- TRAINING KIT DEVELOPMENT: 4 classic lessons and 4 e-learning lessons in the field of algorithmic thinking in Italian and Greek.

MULTIPLIER EVENT NAPOLI
Multiplier Event Napoli took place in Naples also on 30th September 2022.
The event featured the introduction of the In Progress Italy association. This was followed by a presentation of the project “Algorithmic Thinking for Migrants Teachers Education,” highlighting its objectives, activities, and achieved results. After the presentation, there was a discussion with questions, and the event concluded with an aperitif in Messina and Naples.

PILOT EVENT MESSINA
The PILOT event in Messina, part of the AT4MI project, focused on training Italian teachers in algorithmic thinking. Experts from LabSTEM led both theoretical and practical sessions, testing educational materials in real classroom settings. Trained teachers then applied their knowledge by educating migrant students. The goal was to evaluate the effectiveness of the materials and refine them based on feedback from both educators and students.

PILOT EVENT LAMIA, GREECE
In Lamia, Greece, the PILOT event was organized by LabSTEM, emphasizing the testing of materials within adult education centers. Unlike Messina, this phase focused more on self-study and e-learning, assessing how well the courses support adult migrants in developing algorithmic thinking. Insights from this phase were used to refine the educational content and improve digital learning integration.
